Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12/2/2025
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use Reddit Sniper (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Account information: email address, password (stored in hashed form), and basic profile details.
- Configuration data: keywords, subreddits, notification preferences, and other settings you configure in the dashboard.
- Usage data: log data, request metadata, and limited analytics to understand how the Service is used and to improve reliability.
- Payment information: payment-related data processed by third parties such as Razorpay. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers.
- Feedback and reviews: any text, links, or comments you submit as feedback, which may be displayed publicly with your name if you consent.
2. How we use your information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Send alerts and notifications you have enabled.
- Improve the product, troubleshoot issues, and protect against abuse.
- Communicate with you about updates, billing, and support.
3. Data related to Reddit content
The Service processes public Reddit posts via RSS feeds. For performance and deduplication purposes, we may temporarily store post metadata (titles, permalinks, subreddit names, timestamps) and your matched results. We do not store Reddit passwords or access tokens.
4. Cookies and analytics
We may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and measure basic usage. Browser-level ad blockers may prevent some analytics requests from loading; this does not affect core product functionality.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with trusted third-party providers strictly as needed to operate the Service (e.g., Supabase for hosting data, Resend for transactional emails, Razorpay for payments). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
6. Data retention
We retain your account and configuration data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account, after which we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal or compliance requirements.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain forms of processing. You can exercise many of these rights from within your account settings or by contacting support.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and least-privilege access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice by updating the "Last updated" date or by other appropriate means.
10. Contact
If you have questions about this Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at the support email address listed in the app or on the website.
